What Is The Tsang/Shidlofsky ” Visual Snow Study”?
A year and a half ago, the VSI brought together two doctors who were successful in alleviating both visual and non-visual symptoms of Visual Snow Syndrome. Together, Dr. Tsang and Dr. Shidlofsky created a scientific Visual Snow protocol approved by WCG IRB Connexus, the premier global review board. For the past year, Dr. Tsang and Dr. Shidlofsky have been treating VSS patients with their new protocol in Texas and California, which has yielded excellent results.
Here is What Patients are Saying:
“Dr. Shidlofsky and Dr. Mears changed my daughter’s life. It feels like God sent me two angels on earth.
We all cried leaving because we became family. We still have a long road ahead but at this point, I know there is nothing God can’t do.
In an update on the Visual Snow treatment we did… months ago, my daughter came to us saying she wanted to take her eyes out and she couldn’t take it anymore.
Now, after 3 months, she has a better quality of life and hope. The spots are still there, but they aren’t as bad.
No more nightmares. Honestly, there is so much improvement, I can’t even point my finger on it all.
Know that these two doctors are fighting hard for you. We had seen far too many doctors that looked at us and shrugged their shoulders and looked the other way… not these two. Forever grateful.”
“In Dec of 2020, I started seeing Dr. Tsang after I heard she could help alleviate some symptoms for a neurological disorder (Visual Snow). Little did I know that most of my neurological disorder symptoms had, in a way, been affected by another eye condition that I had got months prior that completely threw my visual system off, not only affecting my vision but also my brain and how it processed things.
Dr. Tsang used visual exercises to help retrain my eyes to work more functionally and therefore, help calm my brain down. I could not see correctly, making me feel vulnerable and unable to function at the time. Mind you, I had 20/20 vision. Fast forward 10 mos. later and I have been able to regain most of my visual capacity with little to no effort.
Although this may sound weird, I went from having double vision, poor accommodation, extreme light sensitivity, convergence and divergence issues, after images, ghosting, static to most of those symptoms completely gone away or gone down to a point that they are no longer that bothersome.
Dr. Tsang gave me a part of my life that I would have never thought I would ever get back. I have now been able to return back to work and feel like I’m able to function.
If you’re experiencing any visual problems and especially if you have Visual Snow, I would highly recommend Dr. Tsang as she knows what she’s doing. Although she may not take all of your symptoms away, she will at least try every avenue to help you get to a level where you can function.”
Why Is It Important To The VSS and Medical Community?
Currently, there are no standard successful treatments for those suffering with VSS.
The VSI intends to present the Tsang/Shidlofsky Visual Snow Study to the medical community worldwide so that those with Visual Snow Syndrome are able to get the help they need.
How Will The VSI Present The Tsang/Shidlofsky Treatment Protocol?
The VSI will hold an international virtual Visual Snow Summit where Dr. Tsang and Dr. Shidlofsky will discuss and demonstrate their methods/treatment plans to reduce VSS symptoms in their patients. Following their presentation, you will have an opportunity to ask Dr. Tsang and Dr. Shidlofsky questions.
When Will The Visual Snow Summit Be Held?
The VSI is in the process of organizing the Visual Snow Summit, which will be held on a date yet to be determined but confirmed to be in the second quarter of 2022. Pre-registration will be available on the Visual Snow Initiative website in February 2022.
