Learn from the Experts: Dr. Charles Shidlofsky and Dr. Terry Tsang
The Philippine College of Optometrists (PCO) is excited to announce a masterclass on Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS), led by medical experts Dr. Charles Shidlofsky and Dr. Terry Tsang.
This comprehensive course will provide education on the intricacies of VSS and train medical professionals on how they can use Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Therapy (NORT) to help their VSS patients. The knowledge and tools gained from this course can be used to improve healthcare outcomes for VSS patients, helping them to manage or reduce their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Shidlofsky and Dr. Tsang collaborated to develop a NORT protocol to target VSS symptoms: “The efficacy of neuro-optometric visual rehabilitation therapy in patients with visual snow syndrome” has been published in scientific journals, such as Frontiers. This masterclass provides an opportunity for optometrists and additional medical professionals to enhance their understanding of VSS and adopt innovative treatment strategies that are supported by scientific research.

The PCO Annual Meeting is also the first-ever joint Southeast Asian (SEA) Conference in collaboration with the Philippine Pediatric Optometry & Orthoptics Society (PPS), the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), and the International Sports Vision Association (ISVA).
