Visual Snow Syndrome Treatment

The VSI Team is excited to announce that the publication of our study with Dr. Shidlofsky & Dr. Tsang has been finalized.

“The Efficacy of Neuro-Optometric Visual Rehabilitation Therapy in Patients with Visual Snow Syndrome” is now available online and published in the journal, Frontiers in Neurology-Neuro-Ophthalmology.

Frontiers in Neurology is “the third most-cited clinical neurology journal that explores the diagnosis, causes, treatment, and public health aspects of neurological conditions. Its ultimate aim is to inform improvements in patient care.”

Significance

  1. Allows medical professionals to access a valid treatment option for their patients with Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS).
  2. Provides those with VSS an opportunity to discuss this valid treatment option with their physician.

Historically, the majority of patients with VSS, have been marginalized and told there is nothing that can be done to help them. One of the reasons VSI was founded was to eradicate the persistence of that scenario.

Having VSS can also be a different experience for everyone depending on their specific set of symptoms, the severity of their symptoms, medical history and a myriad of factors.

We understand and recognize that Neuro-Optometric Visual Rehabilitation Therapy (NORT) is not a cure, but a valid treatment option that demonstrates newfound and significant progress towards improving the quality of life of those affected by VSS worldwide.

Thank you so much for your patience and continued support along the way!

Please read and share this article to inform medical professionals, healthcare professionals, and the general public about the treatment option for Visual Snow Syndrome (VSS).
