Spotlight on:

Eve Dyson

Hi, my name is Eve, and I’m from Sydney, Australia.

When I was 9 years old, I told my parents I could see the air. It wasn’t until I was 16, when the symptoms seemed to exacerbate, that I really struggled and sought help. I went to the Vision Eye Institute in Sydney to try colored lenses and have done MRIs for research into Visual Snow Syndrome at Macquarie University. I experience every type of static and visual snow effects, including tinnitus. It’s worse at night; what I miss the most is seeing the stars.

No treatment has worked for me yet.  However, getting my anxiety under control has helped me mentally block my symptoms enough that they don’t bother me as much on a daily basis. I really hope for a cure one day.
